BJP’s protest against state government is against interests of voters: Ivan D’Souza

Mangaluru, June 05, 2023: Congress leader Ivan D’Souza has pulled up the BJP for its protests against the state government policies and said this was against the interests of voters and against social justice.

 

Speaking to reporters at the District Congress Office on Monday, he said the BJP’s protest was also against the interests of the poor and the lay man.

 

He said the Congress government has kept up its words by implementing all its five guarantees.

He was also critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for dubbing the Congress schemes as bogus during his visit to Rajasthan. As a prime minister he should not have termed such programmes aimed at the welfare of the masses as bogus, Ivan said.

He also mocked the BJP for being unable to elect the opposition leader even after several days after the election results. He alleged that the BJP was jealous over the implementation of the Congress guarantees.
