Mangalore, November 2: Flaying the BJP-led state government, MLA U. T. Khader said that the ruling party is trying to fool the people by covering up their failures. He was speaking to reporters at a press conference held at the office of the district Congress.

Continuing his tirade against the government, he said that the state government is trying to fool people by continuously repeating that Karnataka occupies the second place in development work all over India. Accusing the BJP of lying, the MLA said that the state has secured second position in implementing various development projects of the central government and using the funds released by the union government. In truth, the state government has achieved the first place in corruption, stating falsehoods, cunning policies, and cheap politics, he stated and added that the state will move backward if the government continues with its anti people policies.

Stating that neither the Zilla Panchayat nor the Talu Panchayat has received any grant under the BJP rule and that the money sanctioned for the GPs has not yet reached the GPs, he said that not a single government high school or college has received funds in the past two and a half years.

Accusing the state government of indifference toward DK, he said that the state government has completed neglected DK and other districts under the pretext of implementing Dr. D. M. Nanjudappa Committee Report. Criticizing the state government’s selection of Rajyotsava award winners, he said that the government has neglected deserving candidates. Simultaneously, he congratulated the winners. He said that achievers such as Boluwaru Mohammed Kunhi (writer), I. A. Kharianna, the district chief commissioner of the Bharat Scouts and Guides; and Dr. M. Ramgopal Shetty, who played a huge role in getting the blood bank established in Wenlock Hospital, have been completed ignored by the state government.
