Mangalore/ Chikmagalur, Dec 29, 2013: National Investigation Agency officials brought the dreaded ultra and Indian Mujahideen Co-Founder Yasin Bhatkal to Vittalamakki in Koppa taluk of Chikmagalur district on December 28, Saturday. Yasin was escorted by 15 armed guards and was brought to Vittalmakki from Delhi via Mangalore.
It may be mentioned here that Yasin had reportedly made a toy making unit of his friend Ahmed Bava in Vittalmakki as his hide-out for some time. Though the Mangalore Police had raided the place in 2008, Yasin had given them a slip by then. However, the police had then arrested Ahmed Bava, said to be a close aide of Bava and four others.
It is learnt, Yasin had during interrogations by the NIA revealed about his making the toy unit as his hide-out. Yasin was taken there by the NIA sleuths for investigation.
