Bangalore, May 9, 2014 : In a very tragic incident, a prank call that she had failed in the II PUC exams  forced a  young girl to take the extreme step of suicide. The incident was reported from Ramanagara here on May 8, Thursday.


Tejaswini  1Tejaswini hailing from Ittamadu was a II PUC student of a Bidadi college and was anxiously awaiting her results which were announced on Thursday.  The girl who had come to visit her maternal uncle at Ramanagara, had asked her uncle to check her result.


The uncle did the same and came to know that Tejaswini had passed in first class. But, he instead of passing on the message to her, called her and played a prank by telling her that she failed.


An upset Tehaswini disconnected the call and in a matter of a few minutes jumped into a well behind the house.


It is learnt, she had scored 374 marks and aspired to study well and realise her dreams of joining a bank job.
