New Delhi, Dec 28, 2025: Emphasising the role of youth in nation-building in a rapidly evolving, tech-driven world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday delivered the 129th episode of Mann Ki Baat, his final broadcast of 2025, highlighting innovation, culture and public health as priorities for the year ahead.

Cautioning against the erosion of human values amid fast-paced technological change, the Prime Minister said technological shifts that once took centuries are now happening within years. He stressed the need to remain rooted in culture and human values even as technology advances.

Describing India’s young population as the country’s greatest source of hope, Modi announced that the second edition of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue will be held on January 12, coinciding with National Youth Day and the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

On public health, Modi referred to a recent ICMR report warning that antibiotics are becoming less effective against diseases such as pneumonia and urinary tract infections. He urged people to avoid the indiscriminate use of antibiotics and to take them only on medical advice.

Reflecting on key moments of 2025, the Prime Minister said the year had strengthened national confidence across sectors. He cited Operation Sindoor as a symbol of India’s firm stand on national security and referred to the completion of 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’. He also recalled beginning the year with a ceremonial dip at the Mahakumbh and ending it with the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Highlighting innovation and creativity among youth, Modi mentioned initiatives such as the Smart India Hackathon 2025, where students worked on over 200 real-life challenges, including cyber fraud and digital banking security. He also cited cultural initiatives like Geetanjali at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, which has grown into a large student-led cultural collective.

The Prime Minister also showcased grassroots initiatives, including solar electrification efforts in Manipur, archaeological discoveries in Jammu and Kashmir, and the promotion of Indian languages in India and abroad.

Concluding the broadcast, Modi said, “This is the last episode of Mann Ki Baat in 2025. We will meet again in 2026 with the same enthusiasm and spirit of togetherness,” urging citizens to stay healthy during the winter season.
