New Delhi/UAE, Apr 11, 2026: Air India has released details about changes in its international flight schedule for the date of April 8, 2026. The airline has cancelled all its scheduled operations for several destinations in the Gulf region and only maintains connectivity on selected routes via ad hoc operations.
According to details shared by Air India regarding its operations, there are no regular scheduled flights to several UAE destinations, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah. However, the airline continues to operate ad hoc services to cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, while Ras Al Khaimah currently has no scheduled routes at all.
There are ad hoc operations between Delhi and Dubai. Moreover, there are additional ad hoc operations between Sharjah and other cities in India like Amritsar and Kannur. Ad hoc operations are also maintained from Abu Dhabi, which connect with Delhi, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangalore, and Mumbai.
On the other hand, Al Ain is totally inactive without any scheduled or ad hoc flights recorded for the day.
In Oman, Muscat is one of the rare airports where the scheduled operations are active. There are flights to and from Muscat and Indian cities like Delhi, Kannur, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram.
However, there are no ad hoc operations in the schedule for this route. Furthermore, there are no scheduled or ad hoc flights for Salalah at present.
Regarding Saudi Arabia, the operations are partially active. There are scheduled flights to Jeddah, with connections to Delhi, Mumbai, Kozhikode, and Mangalore via Air India Express. On the contrary, there are no scheduled or ad hoc flights to Riyadh and Dammam.
In addition to the suspension of the services mentioned above, there are still several other international routes that are suspended. There are no scheduled or ad hoc flights planned for destinations such as Doha, Kuwait City, Bahrain, and Tel Aviv. The above-listed shows the lack of any connections between the specified locations for the stated date.
Moreover, there are sectors on the given operational chart that provide connectivity between Indian and Gulf cities. The ad hoc flights go to destinations such as Delhi, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Mangalore, Amritsar, and Kannur. It is possible to assume that, although scheduled flights were cancelled on some routes, at least some form of connection is maintained through the specified flights.
The information below refers to the date of April 8, 2026. No time frames are given as to when the canceled services will resume.
Travellers who need to take a flight from India to the Gulf region should check whether their flight is scheduled.
