Mangaluru, July 2, 2025: A car was completely gutted after it caught fire following a collision with an electric pole near Ganjimutt industrial area on the outskirts of Mangaluru in the early hours of June 30.
The incident occurred around 2 am near Narlapadavu when the vehicle, travelling from Mogarukatte towards Ganjimutt, lost control after a dog suddenly crossed the road.
The impact of the crash caused the car’s air-conditioning unit to explode, resulting in a fire that engulfed the entire vehicle.
Fortunately, the driver escaped without injuries. The car, reportedly a tourist vehicle, belonged to a resident of Kolambe.
