Bantwal: Absconding murder attempt accused arrested after 8 years

Bantwal, July 2, 2025: An accused in a murder attempt case who was absconding for the past eight years, has been arrested at Dharmasthala by the Bantwal rural police.
The accused is Akbar Siddique, a resident of Bantwal B Mooda village. He was wanted in a 2011 case reported from Arbanagudde in Thumbay village of Bantwal and was absconding without appearing for the court hearings.
The accused has been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
