Being stuck in traffic is a thing of the past for the owner of this flying motor-tricycle.
Inventor Larry Neal’s revolutionary vehicle allows him to take off into the sky and cruise over miles of gridlock.
The motor-tricycle, called the super sky cycle, consists of a 582cc engine and a three-blade 68-inch propeller.
Larry Neal’s Flying Motor-Tricycle in Aurora, Texas. It can fly at 35mph, land in 20ft of space and has a top land speed of 65mph.
The flying tricycle is set to be made available to the public
It can fly at 35mph, land in 20ft of space and has a top land speed of 65mph.
It has a 5 hour flight time without refueling, costs £46,000 ($75,000) and requires a pilot’s license to fly.
Mr Neal, of The Butterfly Aircraft LLC, has just been awarded a US Patent to build the vehicle on a large scale and sell it to the general public.
He already has several orders for national and international companies.
The project has been in development for several years but hit a stumbling block as Mr Neal could not work out what to do with the propellers once the vehicle landed.
With its propellers folded, the flying tricycle can reach speeds of 65mph, and can be driven on US roads
However, Mr Neal, of Aurora, Texas, USA, overcame this problem by making them foldable - allowing the vehicle to be driven on regular roads.
The Texas border patrol has already made a large order of these flying machines.
