Kollur, Feb 13, 2014: Former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa said the Railway Budget proposals are unlikely to be implemented very soon due to the poll code of conduct that will be effective in the coming days.
Addressing a huge gathering as part of the valedictory of the BJPya Nadige Janara Balige at Vandse on February 12, Wednesday, Yeddyurappa also questioned as to what has Union Railway Minister Kharge contributed to his home state in the Railway Budget.
Continuing, Yeddurappa said development has taken a back seat in the state since the Congress government has taken charge and alleged the state treasury has gone bankrupt.
He also exuded confidence that the BJP would win a minimum 20 seats in the Parliamentary polls as people are fed up with the Congress regime.
He further said he will contest the elections from Shimoga in order to strengthen the hands of the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
