Nithin Kuthar, District President of SFI who spoke on the occasion, came down heavily upon communal elements for trying to create disharmony in Ullal and alleged that people of the area were still under fear.

He was also critical of the police who he said had made forcible entry into houses in order to track down the culprits. He accused the police of arresting innocents while the guilty were still out in the open and fearless. Another allegation made by him was that five students including two minors have been arrested in connection with the Ullal violence.

He urged the police not to allow religious heads to visit Ullal. He also warned of severe protest if the police failed to arrest the true culprits behind the incident.

BK Imtiyaz, President of city unit of SFI, Hamza, Santosh Ballal and others participated in the protest.
