Udupi JD(S) chief lodges police complaint against Rahul Gandhi

Udupi, Oct 29, 2013: Udupi District JD(S) working President Gulam Mohammad has lodged a complaint at the Padubidri police station against AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi accusing him of making statements offending the minority Muslim community, while participating in a public meeting.

Rahul It may be recalled here that Rahul had said at the meeting that an intelligence official had informed him that the ISI of Pakistan had contacted some Muslim youth of riot-hit Muzaffarnagar.

Mohammad said “this statement of Rahul may spark communal tension and make public look at Muslims with an eye of suspicion.”

He also demanded probe against the intelligence official who leaked the information to Rahul before bringing the same to the notice of the Prime Minister.

Mohammad has also warned that he would move the District Court if no action was taken on the basis of his complaint.

As per the complaint, a case has been booked under Section 153 A.
