Suratkal toll gate to be merged within a month, informs NHAI officer at DISHA meet

Mangaluru, Aug 23, 2022: It has been decided to merge the toll gate at Suratkal with the toll gates at Hejamady or Suratkal within a month.

 

 

 

 

 

The District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA)  meeting held here under the leadership of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel  held discussions with regard to the demand for  closure of Suratkal toll gate. It may be recalled here that there has been a vocal demand for merger of the Suratkal tollgate since long.

Speaking on the issue NHAI officer Lingegowda said the issue has been discussed with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari who has  issued instructions for the merger of the toll gate. He said  within a month the toll gate would be merged with another toll gate.

Mayor Premanand Shetty, MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Bharath Shetty, ZP CEO Dr Kumar, MCC Commissioner Akshy Sridhar, Additional DC Krishnamurthi, AC Madan Mohan and others were present.
