Sonia’s visit to Mangalore postponed to April 27, informs Poojari

Mangalore, April 22, 2013 : Congress President Sonia Gandhi is scheduled to visit Mangalore for election campaigning on April 27, instead of April 25 as announced earlier, informed B Janardhan Poojari, former union minister.

Addressing a press meet here, he said  Sonia’s visit was postponed as she  has to attend the Lok Sabha session and reply to various queries from opposition parties.

 Poojari who launched a tirade against the central BJP leaders,   said several BJP leaders including LK Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh and others who are in the state are targeting the Union government by forgetting the scams and scandals in which the state government was involved. On what moral grounds are the BJP leaders seeking vote in Karnataka when the state government was involved neck deep in corruption, he questioned.

Referring to senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, he questioned  why she failed to realize the corrupt practices of Janardhan Reddy despite her visit to his residence several times.

“ Let not Advani  who ridicules the prime minister as most corrupt, forget the fact that it was the same person who saved the nation’s economy  at a time of crisis.

Asked about the stance of Congress leaders on the Netravathi river diversion project, he said he would not comment on the issue when  the Central BJP leaders too were silent.
