Mangalore Feb 14: M Seetharama Shetty, the senior advocate, was felicitated on the occasion of his 75th birth anniversary and completion of 50 years of legal service at TMA Pai Convention Center, MG Road, Mangalore, on Feb 14, Sunday, by his 40 junior advocates.
Honorable Union Minister of Law and Justice Dr M Veerappa Moily said that India must capture the legal world just as it has captured the IT world. Speaking about the quality of the Mangalore Bar Association, the minister said that its standard is higher compared the other bar associations of the country.
Lauding the legal achievements of advocate Seetharam Shetty, the minister said that the advocate has always been enthusiastic about his career of criminal lawyer. Listing out Mr. Seetharam Shetty’s excellent qualities, the minister said that such advocates are hard to find.
Retired High Court Judge of Karnataka B N Mallikarjuna presided over the programme. Senior advocate B V Acharya was the chief guest and IGP Western Range Gopal B Hosur was the guest of honor. M V Shankar Bhat introduced Seetharam Shetty and read the citation.
