Sahyadri Institute observes World Aids Day

Mangalore, Dec 1: Sahyadri Institute of Health Sciences observed World Aids Day at Town Hall in a bid to create awareness regarding Aids among the general public on Dec 1, Wednesday.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel inaugurated the event and said that a lot of people are unaware of diseases such as AIDS, owing to which it is essential to organize awareness programmes.

Bhandary Foundation President Manjunath Bhandary presided over the programme.

The college had arranged a number of competitions for PU students, nursing students, as well as school children.

Just before the stage programme, a rally was organized from Kankanady Circle to Town Hall.
