Mangalore, March 2012  : For the fourth consecutive year, St Joseph Engineering College Women’s Chess team has won Visvesvaraya Technological University Chess Championship, held from 19th to 22nd March 2012 by HKBKCE Bangalore.

 

Women’s Team
Ms. Iora Manisha Pinto, II year E&E, won the first board player prize.
Ms.  Apoorva P.R.,  IV year E&C, won the second board player prize (Captain).
Ms. Riyola Vela D’ Souza, I year E&C, won the  third board player prize.
Ms. Megha R.,  II year E&C, won the fourth board player prizer.

Men’s Team
Mr. Gopal, IV year Mech, secured the 4th position in the first board (Captain).
Mr.  Sharoon, I year MCA, secured the 4th position in the second board player.
Mr. Hrishikesh, IV year Mech, third board player.
Ms. Rajesh., IV year Mech, fourth board player.
