Record funds sanctioned for welfare of minorities in past 5 yrs : Aboobakker

Mangalore, April 24, 2013: NB Aboobakker, former president of the Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation has claimed that the BJP government in thepast five years has given utmost important for the welfare of the minority community.

During the past five years, Rs 1313.96 crore funds have been sanctioned and 14 lakh beneficiaries have benefited from various projects, he informed. The Corporation as founded 27 years ago and so far 1,30,832 beneficiaries had availed Rs 264.81 crores.The BJP government in 5 years has provided an assistance of Rs 327.94 crores 1,89,904 beneficiaries and this is a big achievement.

He also clarified that the welfare works are of the BJP government and
not that of Yeddyurappa. MLC Monappa Bhandary, Rajgopal Rai, Rahim Uchil and others were also present. Five members were inducted to the BJP on the occasion.
