Police phone-in programme: Public raise traffic, parking issues

Mangaluru, Aug 05, 2023: At the police phone-in held on August 5, Saturday several callers raised issues pertaining to parking shrill horns and other traffic issues. The phone-in programme led by City Police Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar Jain received as many as 33 calls.

 

 

 

 

The Commissioner informed during the occasion that a drive would be conducted in the wake of complaints of autorickshaw drivers collecting excessive fares as well as buses that miss their routes.

Expressing concern over high suicide rates in children, the Commissioner said awareness programmes on mental health would be undertaken. He said the Police Department would write to the MCC and NHAI to paint zebra crossings for the benefit of the public.

DCPs Dinesh Kumar and Anshu Kumar, ACP Geetha Kulkarni and others were present.
