Patna blasts: ‘Breaking News’ had helped mastermind flee Mangalore apartment

Mangalore, Oct 29, 2013: The Patna serial blasts would not have occurred had the NIA been able to apprehend Mohammad Tehseen Akhtar, the IM operative, soon after the arrest of dreaded ultra Yasin Bhatkal far off on the Indo-Nepal border in August this year.

In fact , Akhtar along with his aide Waqas from Pakistan who were in hiding in the Zephyr Heights Apartment at Attavar in Mangalore until a few months back,were totally unaware of Yasin’s arrest, but for the breaking news on some channels following leakage of information regarding his arrest.  The two had immediately fled the place  and NIA officials had to return empty handed.

Now, Akhtar is said to be the mastermind of the Patna serial blasts and there is information that after fleeing from Mangalore he was spotted in Pushkar of Rajasthan, Ranchi and some other places.

 Both Akhtar and Waqas were in  Mangalore since the Hyderabad blast. Twenty three year old Akhtar who has a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head is considered to be a tech savvy youth  who is now reportedly the operational head of IM since Bhatkal’s arrest.

It is being said that he along with Yasin had planted bombs in Varanasi in 2010 and at Mumbai in 2011.

Soon after he had fled Mangalore, the NIA sleuths had visited his native village in Samastipur Bihar and taken DNA samples of his father to establish that it was he who was staying  in the Mangalore Apartment, where explosives used in blasts at various places were made.
