Nalin demands white paper on source of funds for Congress guarantees

Mangaluru, June 03, 2023: Dakshina Kannada MP and State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel has urged the state government to bring out a white paper to reveal the source of income for the five guarantees that it has implemented.

Speaking to reporters on June 3, Saturday, he said the guarantees lacked clarity and even while implementing it there are no clear details. While welcoming the implementation of the guarantees, Nalin demanded that all details regarding implementation should also be clear.

On the 10 kg free rice implemented by the state, Nalin questioned whether this would be an additional 10 kg rice over and above the five kg provided by the Centre.

He said the state would be in deep financial distress if the Congress was implementing the guarantees merely with an eye on the next Lok Sabha elections as well as BBMP and other local body elections.
