Mangalore, Aug 26, 2013 : A non-resident Indian who was all set for a second marriage at a hall at Bajpe on August 25, Sunday even before formally issuing a talaq to his first wife had to face embarrassment when his marriage was stalled by the family of his first wife who arrived at the wedding venue.
Abdussamad, an NRI had decided to marry another woman at the Bajpe Jumma Masjid on August 25, Sunday though he had not divorced his first wife Fathima Neha with whom he had a strained relation.
However, Fathima’s family on realizing that he was going to remarry arrived at the hall and picked up a quarrel landing the bride’s family in shock as Abdussamad had not informed them about his first marriage. When the situation was about to turn violent, Bajpe police arrived at the spot and took control over the situation.
The case was later shifted to the Pandeshwar women’s police station.Abdussamad’s second marriage now stands cancelled and he now also has to face a case lodged by his first wife.
