Mosaru Kudike held all over Mangalore on Sunday

Mangalore, Sep 10, 2012 : Mosaru Kudike, a sportive ceremony of breaking pots in commemoration of the childhood of Lord Krishna, was held in several parts of the Mangalore with great enthusiasm on the night of September 9, Sunday.
Several youth organizations held Mosaru Kudikes and enthusiastically formed human pyramids to breaks the pots.
A large number of people ignored the rain and witnessed the colorful sights of the Mosaru Kudike in Kadri, Padil, and Attavar.
Although pots are traditionally filled with curds and milk, modern Mosaru Kudike pots are filled with coins, flowers, and colored water.
Adding to the color and the celebration, decorated trucks depicting the life of Lord Krishna were taken on a procession, accompanied by Nasik bands and tiger dance troupes.
