Members of cooperatives seek probe into conspiracy against Dharmasthala

Dharmasthala, Sep 15, 2025: Members of cooperatives across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on Sunday took out a Dharma Jagruthi Yatre in vehicles from Ujire to Dharmasthala, condemning the alleged conspiracy to malign Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara temple and its administrators.

They demanded a high-level probe to bring the culprits behind the alleged conspiracy to book.

Speaking on the occasion, South Canara District Central Cooperative (SCDCC) Bank president M.N. Rajendra Kumar said the cooperatives took out the yatre to express solidarity with ‘pattadhikari’ of the temple D. Veerendra Heggade.

He said that there is a need to expose those who are behind the conspiracy.


Dharmasthala case


Mr. Heggade said that Dharmasthala temple was extending help to cooperative societies.

He said that many leaders and people have expressed solidarity with him and his family by visiting Dharmasthala.

A. Kishore Kumar Kodgi, president of Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative Ltd., Mangaluru; Raviraj Hegde, president of Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Union, and Belapu Deviprasad Shetty, director of Karnataka Milk Federation were present on the occasion.
