Mangaluru Police Commissioner Flags Off Fourth Niveus Mangalore Marathon

Mangaluru, July 13, 2025: Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy on Saturday launched the fourth edition of the Niveus Mangalore Marathon, highlighting the city’s diverse talent that often gets overshadowed by communal disturbances.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Reddy said the annual marathon has become a significant event for the city, fostering engagement between Mangaloreans and participants from across the country. “It’s a platform that encourages constructive participation while promoting physical and mental well-being,” he noted.

Fourth Mangalore Marathon

The event began with a traditional welcome, as Mr. Reddy ushered in a troupe of tiger dance performers who enthralled the audience with a brief performance. He later received his bib number for the half marathon from Gurudutta Shenoy, Managing Partner of Mukund MGM Realty.

CEO of Niveus Solutions Suhog Shetty officially opened the registration for the marathon, while race director Mehwish Hussain also addressed the gathering.
