Mangaluru, Sep 21, 2023: Mangalore’s CCB Police have successfully apprehended a notorious individual who had been evading law enforcement for approximately seven months, failing to make court appearances in multiple pending cases.
The arrested individual is identified as Tallat (39) from Faisal Nagar in Mangaluru Taluk. CCB Police took him into custody and subsequently transferred him to the Mangaluru Rural Police Station for further legal proceedings.
The accused had allegedly been involved in a string of criminal activities, including assault, attempted murder, kidnapping, extortion, robbery, and murder. After being granted bail by the court, he absconded without fulfilling his court obligations.
According to law enforcement officials, the accused’s criminal record dates back to 2004 when he was first involved in an assault case. Subsequently, he accumulated a total of 28 cases, spanning offenses such as assault, threats to life, extortion, robbery, attempted murder, murder, assaulting police officers on duty, and kidnapping.
Under the guidance and direction of Mangalore City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal, the CCB Police diligently pursued the task of locating and apprehending the fugitive suspect.
