Mangaluru, June 03, 2023: The City police have returned as many as 93 stolen/lost mobile phones to their rightful owners at a function held at the City Police Commissioner’s office on June 3, Saturday.
Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar Jain said as many as 2133 complaints were received to block IMEI numbers on CEIR portal, as the phones were either lost or stolen. The numbers were accordingly blocked and the police got information regarding 524 phones. Of these 240 mobile phones were traced, he informed. If 93 phones were handed over during today’s function 147 phones were handed over to owners at various police stations in the city.
