Mangalore, May 12, 2014 : Mangalore is proud of this meritorious girl. Lavanya, a student of Lourdes Kannada Medium School at Bejai has emerged the topper in the state in the Kannada medium in SSLC exams. She secured 97.76 per cent  by scoring 611 out of 625 marks.

Lavanya scored 100 in Mathematics and Social Studies, while she got 123 out of 125 in Kannada, 94 in Science and 95 and 99 in First and Second Languages respectively.

Daughter of Balasubrahmanya Padakannaya and Poornima of Bejai, Lavanya wants to take up Commerce Stream. Her dream is to enter the banking sector after studies.
