Mangalore, Jun 8, 2013: State Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment and DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai inaugurated the new auditorium and office building of the Government Teachers’ Training College near Hampankatta in Mangalore on June 8, Saturday.
In his address, Rai said education is a must for building a society free from exploitation. It is education which makes life meaningful and contributes to the progress of the nation, he said.
JR Lobo, Mangalore South MLA who was present as chief guest, said education system has witnessed a sea change and urged parents to allow their children to choose the career of their choice.
Ramarao HS, Director of DSERT, Bangalore, Rajendra Kalbavi, Project Director of District Nirmithi Kendra, Philomena Lobo, Principal of the college and AC Vinayaraj, Corporator, were also present.
