It is shocking... effected family (Sundar Rai) is my close friend. Tragedy struck twice to this family. apporox 15 years back marriage car of Shobha (who died in this accident) was collided with gas tanker at Uppinangdy city and lost 8 people on the spot. These bullet tankers and Mines truck is terrorizing this belt ever since MRPL and Mines has been started. Luckily mines trucks has been now stopped, thanks to Supreme Court and Yediyurappa.

Politicians wake up after something serious like this happens. Why do the tankers ply on the roads even after there is a gas pipeline between blr mrpl ??( correct me ) Tankers are like bombs and highly dangerous, we saw this today. Please wake up and do something ! I’m sad to hear the news

Its really shocking. The accident might have happened due to the inexperience of the driver. He might not have driven a huge vehicle like the LPG tanker. It is time the RTO check the driving license of all the drivers who steer heavy vehicles. The unfortunate mishap could have avoided.
Manoj Bhat, Puttur /Dubai Tue, April-9-2013, 5:36
These giant tankers are permanent problem. There is no control over these vehicles and the number is increasing everyday. Every now and then accidents take place and no body bothered to check the movements.

These LPG tankers are all moving bombs. The illiterate drivers/ cleaners do not know the seriousness/ responsibility of their job. There was a similar incident at karnatka - kerala border but no concrete steps were taken to avoid these type of accidents.
Alwin Lobo, Mangalore Tue, April-9-2013, 4:56
The LPG Tankers are a menace on Highways. Many a time the tankers cause traffic blocks especially in the ghat sections. The government should ban them. Why not they have any other mode of supply like the pipeline.

What a tragedy! The LPG tanker trucks are live bombs in the Highways. These vehicles should be banned. A few months back a similar accident has taken place in Kasargod. Many people have died and yet the authorities have not learned any lesson. People should stop these vehicle and should not allow them on roads.
