Let your goals be specific and realistic: Chethan Bhagat exhorts young minds

Mangalore, August 24, 2013: “Keep your goals clear. A goal is something which should be realistic, specific and time bound,” said Chethan Bhagat, well-known author, youth icon, columnist and speaker.

Addressing a huge gathering at the TMA Pai Convention Centre in the city on August 24, Saturday, Chethan Bhagat, the author of some best sellers, exhorted the gathering on the six-step process of achieving one’s goal in life.

He said what matters most in life in motivation rather than intelligence and gave useful tips on achieving something big even when someone is not a super genius.

 

 

The youth icon said he was very excited to pay his maiden visit to the coastal city of Mangalore and even cracked a few jokes in between his session to keep the atmosphere livelier, interactive as well as informative.

He even presented a clip of the movie ‘Kai-Po-Che’ he said one cannot change circumstances but can certainly change the way the mind reacts to something and it is an individual who can bring about changes.

He also said an individual should have faith in oneself and it is the strong belief in oneself that can direct him towards his goal in life.

Chethan Bhagat had also a piece of advice for budding writers. While stating that good writing takes a lot of efforts, he urged youngsters to practice to write well, contribute articles to newspapers and send profiles to publishers to get it noticed.

 There was also an interactive session with the gathering.
