According to officials, the leopard is about three years old. It was found in the well of Sukumara Shetty in Herady village. It could have come near the house of Mr. Shetty in search of food and may have fell into the well accidentally, as the well does not have a protective wall, they said adding that the leopard was later released in the forest.
