Kundapur, April 1, 2013  :  A 19 year old youth named Udaya Poojari met a watery grave while he was bathing  in a pond at Kenchanur Shetrakatte here on March 31, Sunday.

The deceased was the son of Kariya Poojari of Kenchanur. It is said Udaya after helping out his father in the fields in the morning, had been to the pond in the afternoon along with his elder brother and a cousin.

 

It is suspected that Udaya got stuck in the slush in the bottom of the pond to the dismay of the other two who raised a cry. Though Udaya’s father  entered the water  and brought his son out,the boy  died  while being rushed to the hospital. The deceased Udaya was a first year BBM student of  M Varadraj Shetty Government First Grade College, Koteshwar .

Kundapur police have registered a case.
