Voicing her feelings about the burkha ban, a student said that she feels embarrassed to remove her burkha on the roadside in front of passersby.

TP Member Vimala Rangayya said that the administration is not doing justice to its students, adding that she will support the students and warning the college that an intense protest will be held if the ban is not withdrawn in a few days.

On the other hand, BJP leader Venkat Dambekodi has extended his support to the college. Speaking on behalf of the temple administration, he said that students are made to wear uniforms for purposes of equality and discipline, but the Congress is introducing the burkha issue for political gains.

He said that the BJP and pro Hindu outfits will also hold a protest if the Congress protests against the burkha ban.
