Immoral policing will be dealt firmly, reiterates Minister Dinesh Gundurao

Mangaluru, Aug 15, 2023: The state government is giving top priority towards maintenance of law and order. Stern action is being taken in cases of atrocities in the name of immoral policing and also against those who try to disrupt communal harmony by spreading lies in social media, said DK District in-charge Minister Dinesh Gundurao.

He was delivering the Independence Day Address after unfurling the National Tri-Colour at Nehru Maidan in the city today.

Dinesh Gundurao said a sum of Rs 721 crore would be spent towards flood relief and prevention of landslides in five districts including Dakshina Kannada under National Disaster Relief Fund. Efforts are being made to develop Sasihitlu beach as a Surfing Spot under PPP model. He also stated that a Task Force would be formed to promote beach tourism in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada district. He said the plans to have a mini airstrip at Dharmasthala would encourage tourism.
