Puttur , Oct 5, 2013:   Puttur forest officials have seized a mini lorry which was unauthorisedly transporting  valuable wild jack wood(Hebbalasu)  logs at Bollaru in 34 Nekkilady village on October 4, Friday. The lorry driver Zakaria has been arrested.

The value of the seized wood has been estimated at Rs 50,000. The  operation was conducted by a team of forest officials led by Deputy  Conservator of Forests Shivananda Acharya.
