Eminent writer Na.D’Souza chosen for Karanth Award

Mangalore, Oct 5, 2013: The Dr Kota Shivaram Karanth Award instituted by the District Kannada Sahitya Parishat and the Kalkura Pratishtana will be conferred on eminent Kannada writer and novelist Norbert D’Souza, who is popularly known as Na.D’Souza. The award will be presented to him on the occasion of the 112th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr Karanth at a function to be held at Town Hall on October 10.
D’Souza already has several novels plays, short stories and children’s books to his credit. He is also the recipient of Kendra Sahitya Academy Award for his novel ‘Mulugadeya Oorige Bandavaru’. His novels Kaadina Benki and Dweepa were even made into films and won Rajatha Kamala and Swarna Kamala Awards respectively.
