Mangaluru, Mar 06, 2021:      The debate  on One Nation One Election is just like placing  staircases to the sky. This proposal only aims at  indirectly changing the very framework of the constitution . This is not an issue for debate, said MLA and former minister U T Khader.

Addressing media at the Congress office on March 6, Saturday,  he said  One Nation One Election  policy would make regional parties and problems  lose their prominence. This is also against the democratic system, he said.

Instead of debating this issue, there is a need to debate other pressing issues including fuel price hike and GST, he said.

Regarding the Kenjaru Goshala row, he said the authorities have rendered the poor animals  homeless by not making alternate arrangements  before clearing the encroachment.
