Mangalore, June 24, 2014: Deputy Commissioner A.B. Ibrahim has instructed the Mangalore Special Economic Zone Authorities to provide jobs to as many as 353 people by July as promised by it.
Addressing a meeting of families affected by MSEZ, the DC said the MSEZ has already provided employment to 458 people out of the 811 members of the displaced families. The remaining should get jobs by July, he said. The DC also informed that the MSEZ had acquired a total of 2329.82 acres of land.
Responding to the same, the company officials said there were some hurdles in offering to jobs to 161 out of the 353 people and added the remaining people would get jobs.
