Congress to organize events to publicize its achievements

Mangalore, Oct 1, 2012 : The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) will organize Congressnondhige Banni Badhalavani Thanni on Urwa Store Maidan tomorrow to enhance awareness on the party’s achievements.

 

Announcing the above event at a press meet held at the District Congress office on Oct 1, Monday, Ivan D’Souza, KPCC secretary, said that MLA Ramanath Rai will preside over the first meeting of the event.

Senior Congress leaders, the mayor of Mangalore, MCC corporators, and members of the ZP and TP will also take part in the event.

The program will be held at the GP and booth-level from Oct 1, he said.

Revealing further details, he said that the party will organize a one-day padayatre “Naada Rakshana Nadige” in November against the failure of the BJP to give the people clean and corruption-free governance.

The Congress will also hold another event called Chintana Manthana against the BJP’s anti-people policy in December, he said.

A handbook called Congressnondige Banni Badalavane Tanni will also be released tomorrow.

Several Congress leaders and workers were present at the press meet.
