Cattle thieves will be tracked down at the earliest : MLA Bawa

 Mangalore, Aug 3, 2013: Mangalore North MLA Mohiddin Bawa said that threatening and robbing the cow from a poor family is always a sin.


He was interacting with  Sri Rama Sena Divisional chief Kumar Malemar who spoke to him outside the Press Club on Aug 3, Saturday behalf of the family who lost the cow recently.

Bawa said that he will ask the police to form a special squad led  by Suratkal station Inspector and added that steps will be taken to ensure protection to the cows of the family.  He also assured that  the culprits will be traced at the earliest and stern action would follow.


Malemar said that the miscreants had visited the house of Kamala, a  resident of Kaana who had a Jersey cow worth Rs 20,000 at 3 am  in a Sumo Grand  vehicle and threatened her brandishing a  knife and swords and carried away her cow which was the only source of the income.


Bawa said that he will order Surathkal station officers to take strict action against cattle smuggling and illegal abattoirs. He said that he will also speak to the ministers to provide government compensation for the loss suffered by the family.


Kamala’s grandson Shubhakiran and many SRS members were present.
