Mangaluru, Jun 5, 2026: As the BJP-led Central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi approaches the completion of 12 years in office, the party has planned a series of nationwide outreach programmes to showcase its achievements across various sectors until June 22.
Announcing the district-level initiatives, Dakshina Kannada BJP president Sathish Kumpala said several programmes have been scheduled across the district as part of the campaign.
To promote environmental conservation, the party will implement the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" initiative across all 1,876 booths in Dakshina Kannada. Marking World Environment Day, BJP leaders and workers planted saplings at a school in Nalyapadavu on Friday.
Kumpala said booth-level office-bearers have been encouraged to plant as many saplings as possible within their respective jurisdictions. Committees have been formed at the district, Maha Shakti Kendra, Shakti Kendra, and booth levels to coordinate and conduct the programmes.
As part of the outreach drive, beneficiary registration camps under the Ayushman Bharat scheme will be organised at all Shakti Kendras and Maha Shakti Kendras across the district.
The BJP OBC Morcha will undertake cleanliness drives at the district, mandal, and booth levels, including in SC/ST colonies. Meanwhile, the party’s Kisan Morcha will launch an awareness campaign on the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and help register eligible farmers who have not yet been enrolled.
Awareness programmes on organic farming will also be conducted. In addition, around 500 achievers from the fields of agriculture and sports will be felicitated at events organised across the district’s Assembly constituencies.
A convention highlighting the achievements of the Modi government will be held on June 13. BJP National General Secretary and Karnataka in-charge Radhamohan Das Agarwal is expected to attend the programme.
Kumpala said Agarwal’s visit would also help strengthen the party’s organisational structure in the district. Besides, blood donation and health camps will be organised in collaboration with various organisations.
The International Day of Yoga will be observed on June 21 at the booth, Shakti Kendra, and district levels with public participation, he added.
Kumpala also credited the effective implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission in Dakshina Kannada for significantly mitigating the district’s summer water shortage problems.
BJP to Support SIR Process
Kumpala said the BJP would support the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Dakshina Kannada. He urged the district administration to take all political parties into confidence while carrying out voter mapping activities.
He also stressed the need for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to visit every household to ensure the process is completed effectively. "The BJP has already completed the appointment of booth-level agents," he said.
