Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, Oct 29, 2013: “Though the demand for the arrest of the true accused in the Sowjanya rape and murder case is justifiable,  it is highly improper to tarnish the image of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and  Dharmadhikari Dr Veerendra Heggade on this pretext,” said Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurupur Vajradehi Mutt.

Addressing a meeting held  at Town Hall in Mangalore on October 29, Tuesday  by the devotees of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and admirers of Dr. Veerendra Heggade, he said “Some have demanded the resignation of Dharmadhikari  over the issue. It is not a political post. When we have a prime minister who  has not quit despite several  scams, why  should  Heggade quit  over such baseless allegations?,” he questioned.“We should fight for justice to Sowjanya and not to dent the image of anyone,” he said.

Sri Mohandasa Swamiji of Sri Kshetra Manila also spoke on the occasion. Dugganna Savantha Arasaru  of Mulki Seeme, Vajrakumar  Karnantaya Ballal of Kulurbeedu, Raghunath Shet, Suresh Ballal, Shubhakar Ullal, Mohammad Ismail, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura and others were present.
