Mangalore, Aug 14, 2013: If students are usually gifted with sweets on account of Independence Day, the students of the Bikarnakatte Government Higher Primary School got a special gift. A free hair cut on behalf of the old students’ association of the school.
This school has just 76 students and is still going strong, thanks to the patronage extended by its old students. The old students who have formed an association decided to celebrate Independence Day in a different way this year. Accordingly, over 30 students of the school including girl students got a free hair cut.
A team of barbers led by Sanjay Mahale, owner of Kudla Men’s Beauty Saloon did the hair cutting on August 12, Tuesday being a holiday for saloons.
Local corporator Sabitha Misquith and Vedavathi, former principal of St Aloysius Evening College and the school staff were present on the occasion.
