Mangalore, Sep 15, 2012 : AIMIT inaugurated a two-day national exhibition called InfoVision 2012 organized by its IT students in the AIMIT campus of St. Aloysius College, Mangalore on September 13, Thursday.
Congress worker J. R. Lobo, Rev. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues, Rev. Fr. Denzil Lobo, and Prof. Santhosh Rebello were present at the inauguration ceremony.
The chief guest of the occasion was J. R. Lobo, who inaugurated the exhibition by rotating a prototype windmill.
A short video on sustainable energy powering the future was also presented as an introduction.
In his inaugural address, Mr. Logo congratulated the organizers of the exhibition and spoke on the limitations of fossil fuels, unpredictable fuel price hikes in future, dangers of depending excessively on traditional energy, and the need to move on to renewable energy.
Rev. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues, rector of St. Aloysius Institution, also spoke on the importance of sustainable energy for all.
The valedictory ceremony was held on the evening of September 14 with Fr. Denzil Lobo, director of AIMIT, as the chief guest.
