Mangalore, April 13, 2013: An elderly citizen named Muniappa is today a happy man. He is reunited with his family at Karangur in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu after nearly three years.
Muniappa was found at the old bus stand area at Hampankatta area in a battered and helpless state around nine months ago. Joseph of Snehalaya orphanage at Talapady who came across Muniappa took him along and provided him treatment at the Yenepoya Hospital.
He even gathered details regarding the address of Muniapa and contacted his family which recently arrived in Mangalore and took him back.
Muniappa’s wife Papathi shed tears of joy as she saw her husband after nearly three years. The family including Muniappa’s three children explained how they had searched frantically for their father all these years. Muniappa’s wife had also fallen ill and had recently undergone a heart surgery.
