5 Vietnamese quarantined after complaint of inappropriate act

Mangaluru, April 18, 2020:  The police have quarantined five Vietnamese people who were residing at an apartment in Kodialbail on Friday. All the five have been shifted to a government quarantine facility after the  apartment owners association complained that one of them was  seen  applying his nasal droplets on the intercom phone inside the lift. The act was reportedly caught on CC camera wherein the man after removing his mask  applied his nasal droplets on the phone and then came out.

The Apartment Owners Association President Dayananda Pai  and Secretary Subhaschandra Prabhu have lodged a complaint at  Mangaluru East Police Station. The Five Vietnamese have also been accused of misbehaving.

All the five were shifted to ESI Hospital were  they will be in quarantine for 14 days. All of them have also been  booked under IPC section 269 and 270.

City Police Commissioner P S Harsha said an investigation is underway regarding the complaint.
