‘Chai Pe Charcha Narendra Modi Ke Saath’ in city

Mangalore, Feb 13, 2014 :  A video conferencing with Gujarat CM and BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi ‘Chai Pe Charcha Narendra Modi Ke Saath’ was held in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on February 12 Wednesday under the aegis of Citizen For Accountable Governance (CAG).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In Mangalore several were present in front of the New Tajmahal Cafe at Kodalbail where the  video conference was held.  Though the  live video conferencing was witnessed by Modi supporters in 82 centres( tea stalls)  of 25 cities in the state, only  a select few from Mangalore and Bangalore centres were given an opportunity to interact with the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate. The video conferencing was witnessed live across 1000 centres in teh nation.

In Mangalore, Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, Capt. Ganesh Karnika, Monappa Bhandari, MLCs, former minister Nagaraj Shetty, former MLA N Yogish Bhat, NaMo Brigade leader Naresh Shenoy and others were present.

Modi who came online at  6 pm answered  several questions  and highlighted his past experience and hardship he faced as tea seller and also his vision for India.

Nishmitha Prabhu, a final year BCA student who got an opportunity to interact with Modi   suggested to bring about accountability at every level and to maintain status report of every official and politician.

However, due to a technical snag Nishmitha had to wait till the end for Modi’s answer. Modi who replied to her suggestion at the end of the session said the government need to be accountable and that the accountability of the government which is based on ‘output’ should e made ‘outcome.’ Modi also stressed the need for every parliamentarian to be accountable and also that every citizen also has the right to ask the government to be accountable.

There was loud cheer as Modi said “I fully agree with  the suggestion which has come in from Mangalore,”  and thanked the questioner.
