Whenever Hindu activists are killed, Congress never stands with their kin: Karnataka BJP

Mangaluru, May 2, 2025: State BJP president B Y Vijayendra and Leader of Opposition in Assembly R Ashoka visited the house of Suhas Shetty who was hacked to death by assailants. They paid their respect and consoled the family members.

Speaking to the press, he said “As Suhas was the bread winner, the BJP has decided to pay Rs 25 lakh to the family. I am urging the state government, Chief Minister and Home Minister to take the incident seriously and pay compensation to the family of the deceased.”

He said “The BJP and party workers are with the family. The government should also take necessary steps to ensure the NIA probe into the murder.”

“The incidents of murder of Hindu workers are recurring in the state. The state government should take strict action to ensure that such incidents do not recur. Whenever Hindu activists are murdered, the Congress led state government has never stood with the victim’s family in the past.

If the government has any concern, then it should announce compensation,” he said.

Leader of Opposition in Assembly R Ashoka said “Murder of Hindu workers is a guarantee whenever Siddaramaiah comes to power in the state. During his previous term as CM, 36 Hindu activists were murdered by PFI and other fanatic organisation activists. Jihadi brothers are responsible for the murder of Suhas Shetty. It has become a fashion here not to arrest genuine culprits. The team is just getting readied to show the arrest. Only after the list of members in the team is finalised, the police will arrest,” he alleged.
