Koppal, Mar 25, 2024: The BJP has lodged a complaint against Karnataka Minister and Congress leader Shivaraj S Tangadagi for his remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Congress leader made the remark during an election rally in Koppal. “They (BJP) are coming now with their election campaign, they must feel ashamed. With what face are they seeking votes now? They promised two crore jobs, have they provided jobs to anyone? If they (youths) ask for employment, they (the BJP) ask them to sell pakoda. They (the BJP) must be ashamed.”

“Even then, if students say ’Modi Modi’, they must be slapped,” Tangadagi said.

Reacting to the Minister’s remark, BJP leader Amit Malviya said that political parties which have targeted the youth have not survived.

“Congress minister Shivaraj Tangadagi, who is the Minister of Culture in the Karnataka government, asks students, who chant slogans in favour of PM Modi, to be slappedâ€æ Just because Young India has rejected Rahul Gandhi, again and again, and wants PM Modi to lead the country, Congress will assault them? This is shameful. The contrast can’t be more obvious, with Prime Minister Modi investing in Young India and Rahul Gandhi’s Congress wanting to slap them,” Amit Malviya said.

“No political party, which has targeted the Youth, ever survived. The Young carry our collective aspiration and are entrusted with shaping the destiny of our nation,” the BJP leader added.

The BJP has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission against Shivaraj Thangadagi under relevant sections of the Representation of People Act, 1951.
